About Us

Churchfield House Day Nursery and Preschool is in the heart of Weybridge, Surrey. The nursery and preschool opened on 1st September 2009 and offer exceptional care and education for children from the age of 3 months to 5 years. Our facilities are housed in a grade 2 listed building which has been completely refurbished to offer light, bright and cheerful rooms. Age appropriate rooms ensure that children have plenty of time to explore, play and learn, but most of all enjoy their day. Each room contains new age appropriate equipment including computers and an interactive whiteboard in our preschool.

 

We believe that each child deserves the best possible start in life and the support to fulfill their potential. A child's experience in the early years has a major impact on their future. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important and when parents or carers chose a nursery or preschool they want the assurance that the provision will keep their children safe and support them to thrive. The government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the framework which the nursery follows in order to provide that assurance.

 

In our most recent Ofsted inspection (November 2010), we were rated as 'Good' overall, with five 'Outstanding' areas. 

 

Ofsted said: "The activities provided to children are imaginative and effective in capturing their interests. As a result, behaviour amongst the children is very good. Children understand the benefits of working together and do so to reach common goals." and "Children are happy and settled in this bright and welcoming setting."  You can read the full report here.
