Rachel Elford

Nursery Manager

I completed my child care qualification (CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing, NNEB) in 2001. I decided to start my child care career working for a Ski tour operator overseas in fantastic places such as France, Austria and Italy, I started as a nursery nurse caring for children whilst their parents went skiing, after 3 seasons (roughly a year) I was given the opportunity to become a resort child care manager which saw me overseeing a small team of Nursery Nurses and the Snow Rangers (child care Rep). I was responsible for the children’s safety and that they enjoyed their time with us.

After overseeing the one resort for a period of time I was then asked to oversee the child care at 2 resorts in Austria. Again giving me a wide range of team management experience, during my time with this company I was also part of the staff recruitment and training team which involved college visits, supporting newly qualified childcare staff and training.

In December 2007 I started working with Casterbridge at their Elvetham Heath Day Nursery in Fleet as a Room Manager for the Preschool room working alongside 3 other members of staff. After a short period of time I was promoted to Preschool Coordinator overseeing the 2 Preschool rooms. It is there that I learnt all about Casterbridge and made the decision to stay within the company and move to the exciting new venture of Churchfield House. I am looking forward to starting at a new nursery and building a strong relationship with the nursery team.

Lucy-Anne Tunnicliffe

Deputy Nursery Manager

I initially started at Churchfield House as the Preschool Room Manager and after some months supporting the management team was promoted to Deputy nursery manager.

I have always been passionate about working within the early years and have a range of experiences that include managing childrens clubs oversees and supporting children with additional needs.

I have been qualified in early years since 2003 and I currently have a BTEC National Diploma as well as a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education.

Adriana Ellis ( on maternity leave)

Junior Deputy Manager

I am from Bogota, Colombia and qualified with an honours degree in Occupational Therapy. For the past 13 years I have worked with children aged between 2 months to 10 years, including those with learning difficulties.

I joined Casterbridge in 2005 looking after children aged two to three at Dolphin Nursery and Preschool in Kingston before joining the team at Churchfield House for its opening in August 2009. I am fluent in English and Spanish and I enjoy stimulating the children with both languages.

I live in Weybridge with my husband and son. Following my maternity leave I was delighted to be working at Churchfield House where my son also attends nursery.

Tony Wilson

Chef

Tony is a highly qualified and experienced chef with a keen creativity with food! Following 12 years as a soldier, Tony achieved his Masters in Hotel and Catering. Tony has worked in both pub and restaurant kitchens, and has taught NVQ2 and NVQ3 students in professional cookery.

Tony quickly adapted to children’s tastes when he joined Churchfield House in March 2010. His flair and skills with food give the children healthy and imaginative meals and snacks every day.

Tony’s imagination, attention to detail and professional approach have won many fans and a five star assessment from the Environmental Health visitors for our kitchen hygiene.

Jim Jennings

Unit Co-ordinator, 1-2 Years

I have been working in childcare for 16 years in a variety of roles and establishments. I have been qualified since 2001 and hold an NVQ3 in Childcare and Education. I have worked for Churchfield House since January 2010.

I am the Special Education Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) for the nursery.

Lucy Cranston

Room Manager

I work in the Eagles room, children aged 2 to 3 years old. I started here in August 2009 as nursery nurse and have completed my NVQ Level 3 at Brooklands College.

I love getting involved in all sorts of activities!
