Safety and Security

The safety and security of your child is of paramount importance and access to the nursery is strictly controlled. Registered parents and carers are issued with a key fob which allows access to the building when swiped past the security panel. In addition CCTV cameras allow monitoring of the entrance/exit from the office. All visitors to the nursery are asked to provide identification and to sign the visitors book on arrival. Our staff are very conscientious and are required to adhere to strict policies and procedures regarding the authorisation for the collection of children.

  

Ofsted said: "Safety awareness amongst the children is exceptional" and "Children are safeguarded very well through a focused approach to issues surrounding safeguarding children."

 

All employees are record checked with the Criminal Investigations Bureau and are also required to attend formal child protection training as part of their induction. This training is further supported by a fully trained Child Protection officer on site at the nursery.

 

The nursery also has a fully trained Health and Safety Coordinator to ensure nursery safety and security at all times.

 

We also believe it is our duty to teach the children in our care about safety and security and discussions and activities around these subjects are built into the curriculum.
